Editor’s Pick: Best Spots to Work From in Lagos

For creatives working remotely in Lagos, finding the perfect workspace is essential. It needs to inspire your flow while minimizing the city’s bustle. As a lifestyle enthusiast, I constantly seek out new spots that offer comfort, ambience, and a change of scenery from the usual office setting. The best thing about this is you can soak up the aesthetics, network with people, and indulge in delicious food (maybe even a celebratory cocktail after a productive session!)
Here are some top spots I work out from in Lagos– these hotspots are guaranteed to boost your productivity with reliable Wi-Fi, comfortable seating, and good service that would not stifle your creativity.

Brisk

Brisk has probably been featured in every recommendation I have made, and you can already tell that it is a spot that ticks all the boxes for me. I love the serenity and the coziness that allows me to get into my work and do what needs to be done. The staff are so polite and can read that you are there for work so that you won’t be bothered. Also, is there a better motivator than the promise of treating yourself to a delicious meal or tasty cocktails after completing your day’s task?

Breadline Cafe

I live on the mainland If you live on the mainland, this is a must-visit! Breadline Cafe offers the quiet and serenity you would need for a productive workday as the place is designed to optimise remote work. The best part is that the food is super affordable. You can also access free WiFi for you to work smoothly, so that’s one less worry.
The only con to this spot might just be the constant influx of customers trying to buy from their bakery but that’s nothing a noise cancelling headphones can’t fix.  Overall, Breadline Cafe is a hidden gem for mainland remote workers. The peaceful atmosphere, dedicated workspace features, and budget-friendly menu make it an ideal spot to tackle your to-do list.

CafeOne

CafeOne is an unconventional co-working hub unlike any other you’d find in Lagos. The space is designed to make you comfortable as you work but in a fun way, and one might really think the perfect workhub doesn’t exist till a visit to CafeOne. Sterling Bank really did its big one with this space, and I really can’t tell what I love more about this spot from the multiple locations around my city to the fantastic coffee or the juicy discounts I get as a Sterling customer.

Nordic Hotel

Nordic Hotel is a hotel I frequent in Lagos because I love a staycation and the luxury relaxation I’m offered at this location. Even on a staycation, I still have to work, and I have found that the poolside at this hotel is simply the best place to work. Scratch that. There are other cute spots at Nordic that I love to work from- the Patio, the restaurant or even the lobby. Nordic checks the list for a spot that boosts my creativity.  I feel completely relaxed here, and my body is in the right mode for maximum productivity, regardless of how long it takes me to complete my tasks for the day.

Pizzeriah

I’m a pizza and wine type of girl, and spots where I can enjoy this absolutely have my heart. The pizza is great at Pizzeria, and the space is even better, comfortable enough for you to work without any interference or disturbance. It’s the kind of spot that can serve many purposes, from a quick date spot to a work hub, and you can even choose to enjoy some comfort here after work by treating yourself to the pizza or the delicious suya sold here with a glass of wine before heading home.
