We are bringing back our style series with even more style inspo for your weekend engagements in our city, featuring Lagos based fashionistas and stylists who will be serving looks every weekend.

We are starting this season with Mary Edoro Fashion Editor at BellaNaija, seasoned writer, content creator and editor, who is one to watch in the industry both in fashion editorial and as an influencer.
Mary: I love my weekends because I get to catch up with friends, try out new places, attend numerous social events that afford me the opportunity to dress up and show off amazing Made in Nigeria designs. If you live in Lagos, you know that the weekend starts on Friday and until Monday morning. The city comes alive like you’ve never before!
LOOK 1

Where: Brunch at The Tearoom Lagos
Why: The tearoom has such beautiful feminine decor and I wanted to keep my look as bright and pretty as possible to blend in with all the flowers. I also wanted to colour coordinate all the bomb photos I took there *wink*

What: Gold dress from Zii @ziistudios
Where: RSVP Lagos
Why: My weekends are usually packed with events, and for this particular FH Luxury event, I threw on this very simple but standout look. The dress style is “throw-on-and-go” but the devil is in the details, so what made it a killer look was the accessories.
LOOK 3
What: Printastic dress from Desire1709 @desire1709fashion
Where: La Campagne Tropicana beach resort
Why: Nothing says beach ready (read: future beach house owner) like a maxi dress and a summer hat. It looked fresh against all the palm trees and I was able to wear my bikini underneath! #PackingHack101

What: Two-piece set from Celomrepublic @Celomrepublic
Where: Temple Muse, Victoria Island
Why: Shopping and shopping events are the death of me, but I still always go because I’m an addict – welp!. But I kept things fun and fashionable for the Ituen Basi private showcase at Temple Muse.
LOOK 5
What: A Silver wrap dress from ElpisMegalio @ElpisMegalio
Why: Would this list even be complete without an owambe look? Saturdays are for weddings and for someone like me who is not a fan of regular asoebi styles, this fiesty wrap dress comes in handy. I gave the look a pop of colour with a red purse from the same brand.
