Pernod Ricard Nigeria Celebrates Successful Participation at Lagos Cocktail Week 2024

The colourful Lagos Cocktail Week 2024 (LCW) has come to an end and Pernod Ricard Nigeria is pleased to announce another successful participation in the prestigious festival. This year’s celebration marked a milestone as LCW celebrated its tenth anniversary, with Olmeca Tequila and Absolut Watermelon Vodka taking centre stage in a variety of dynamic activations.
Visitors to the Cocktail Village were treated to an array of unique Olmeca Tequila creations that showcased the brand’s versatility. Signature shots like the Olmeca Shot Rise, Olmeca Express, and the vibrant Olmeca Shot-rita quickly became crowd favourites, offering a mix of exciting flavours that captured the energy of the festival.

At the Absolut Vodka Bar, Absolut Watermelon made its exciting debut, demonstrating its flexibility through a range of refreshing cocktails, including the Absolut Watermelon Cosmopolitan, Absolut Watermelon Lemonade, and Absolut Watermelon Frozen Vodkarita. These unique drinks were a hit with visitors who embraced the playful and vibrant flavours.

The Absolut experience continued with a “Sip and Paint” session, where attendees expressed their creativity while sipping Absolut Watermelon cocktails. Guests enjoyed a phone charm-making experience at the Absolut booth, which added a personal and fun touch to the event.

During the interactive Olmeca O’Clock Hour, guests were immersed in engaging tasting experiences and elaborate serving rituals led by Olmeca ambassadors. The session highlighted Olmeca’s rich heritage while promoting responsible drinking, allowing attendees to enjoy their lively cocktails in a fun and educational environment. Guests also participated in games and tequila tastings, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The excitement didn’t stop there. During the Pernod Ricard Happy Hour at the LCW Brand Hour, attendees enjoyed tastings and serving rituals, with music from Maze X Xtreme providing an explosive live performance that elevated the energy of the event.

The festival concluded with an electrifying after-party, headlined by the dynamic DJ duo Wanni x Handi and supported by the renowned hype man Jimmie Akinsola. Their performance brought the crowd to life with vibrant beats and an engaging atmosphere, bringing the celebration to a thrilling finale.

Educational sessions and Responsible Drinking
Aside from the cocktails and competition, Pernod Ricard reinforced its dedication to responsible drinking through educational seminars held throughout the week, highlighting the company’s ongoing efforts to promote safe consumption habits. A key feature of this year’s event was Pernod Ricard’s ‘Drink More Water’ campaign, launched in 2021 as part of its Sustainability and Responsibility roadmap. The campaign addresses binge drinking among young adults with bold messaging focused on responsible drinking, complemented by water distribution throughout the event to encourage moderation.
