Bucket List Adventures to Try Out This December

The goal this December is to be outside, for sure! As a Weekender, we are certain you have gotten your fill of the regular Lagos clubbing or dining experience, and you want something different and out of the ordinary. Luckily, Lagos offers interesting and unique fun experiencs you may not know existed.

We have only a few days left in the year, but that’s more than enough time to try out new adventures. If you want to have proper fun in this city by exploring different adventures, this list is for you!

Visit a themed park

Enjoyment is not only for children o! There is no reason for you to take your cousins to parks and stay away from all the fun. Leave maturity alone this December! Luckily, there are a few themed parks in Lagos with activities for adults that will blow your mind. As they say, the best way to have proper fun as an adult is the childlike way, and that should be your plan this December. Hakuna Matata theme park is one of the hottest in Lagos now, and it should definitely be on your list.

Practice Archery

Say the truth! Have you seen arrows in real life? Have you ever shot one, or do you just believe it’s easy, seeing how it’s done in the movies? As a Lagosian, this is an experience you can get in your city if it interests you. At Arrows Den, you get to learn everything you need to know about archery. Honestly, it’s a valid survival skill in Lagos, as you never know when you might need to prove to someone that you are not one to be messed with.

Customize your perfumes

Yes! There are places in Lagos where you get to make your own scents from scratch! How cool is that? A recommended spot for this experience is the Abela center for Olfactory arts, where scents and perfumes are created and customized from scratch. You choose your scents and can mix as much as you want to get the perfect combo for you. You can also take home a bottle of your customized scents and even customize your bottles, shop for exquisite room sprays, diffusers and even candles.

Attend an Orchestra Concert

As a Lagosian, you might have never thought about the possibility of an orchestra concert being held in Lagos, and for valid reasons, too. But it exists! With a budget of 10,000 naira and above, there are numerous locations in Lagos where you can attend an orchestra concert and feel boujee for a few minutes. Not every time Afrobeats contert, dear Weekender! Do something different before this year ends!

Try Bunjee flinging

You know of bungee jumping, and you know it’s a lot of fun, but your Naija mind won’t let you explore that. We get it! But have you heard of fling bungee fitness? Rather than the regular bungee jumping that requires you to jump off a mountain and scream out your lungs, bungee fitness combines the use of a bungee cord with traditional cardio and strength-training exercises to provide a full-body workout that is both effective and fun. Our recommended location is Lo Studio at Victoria Island, as it offers this experience to its subscribers.

Learn Fencing

Fencing is a combat sport that features sword fighting, just like we’ve seen in the movies and in games. We see them in their overalls and their helmets on our screens, and we can’t tell just how complex this sport might be. Luckily, there are bodies like the Nigerian Fencing Federation that allow you to learn and practice this sport in Lagos if it interests you.

Bottom Line

We are not proud Lagosians for no reason. We are proud of our city because it’s one with endless possibilities and adventures. If you are bored in this city or can’t find the perfect adventure for you, it’s definitely because you have yet to explore the countless options available to you.
