Where To Eat In Lagos: Best Breakfast Spots

Going out to eat with friends after a successful night out or just to feel a bit fancy is one of my favourite things to do.
Whether it’s grabbing a quick cup of coffee before work or enjoying a plate of freshly baked pastries or pancakes, there’s something cool about having a cup of coffee and a stack of pancakes in a small, cosy café. I clearly romanticise my life, you should too! LOL.
I’ve compiled a list of some of my favourite breakfast spots, each chosen for unique reasons that stood out to me. Let’s dive into what influenced my decisions!

Cafecito

At the top of my list is Cafecito. Its wooden interiors and soft lighting is an ideal spot for a relaxing breakfast and a side of piping hot tea(gossip). Their menu offers a variety of options, from fluffy pancakes to savoy egg dishes, all within an affordable price range. I can vouch for their pancakes and waffles any day, it’s so good.
They have me in a choke-hold, and I never visit without grabbing some to-go.  A breakfast at Cafecito typically costs around 15,000 to 30,000 Naira.

Securing the second spot on my list is XO Bakery because, to me, it’s the BEST breakfast and brunch spot on the island. That’s a bold take I know, but hear me out.
The space is not only very pretty and cosy but the decor is so well thought out. The menu selection, the quality of the food, and their attention to details is very present and noticeable in every bite you take.
So if you’re not just looking for a dining spot but a well thought out cafe, XO Bakery truly is that spot. A breakfast at XO Bakery typically costs around 20,000 to 30,000 Naira.

I remember the first time I heard about Pancake Hub. A friend of mine had been raving about how good the pancakes were. I thought, “A place selling just pancakes? In Nigeria? Really? And it’s so good? Sign me up.
There isn’t much to the menu, and they are not trying to do anything beyond what they promise: good pancakes and smoothies to go along with them.
They also have a list of sides, like eggs and sausages. Breakfast here is not only delicious but also budget-friendly, with prices ranging from 2,500 to 5,000 Naira.
