Kaly is one of the new restaurants in Lagos, having opened this year. It’s an upscale restaurant, bar and lounge focused on Mediterranean cuisine. The food here is not the only reason why it comes out on top of our list, but the ambience is exquisite, premium and lush. The impression the aura of the restaurant gives when you walk in is awe-inspiring and top-notch, and it sets a high standard for its contemporaries. this, of course, comes at a higher cost too.

We recommend Kaly for a first date or a special date brunch.

There aren’t many Caribbean restaurants in Lagos and this one is indeed special with its beautiful tropical feel and decorations and a small alfresco section that would be great for a date. Plan a date and transport yourself to a calm paradise at this eating house. You and your other half could pamper yourselves with their delicious mussels steamed in coconut milk, lime and chilli served with coco bread, their plantain corn fritter, or their plantain dumplings. Absolute yum!

A good number of the dishes on their menu are plantain based and that’s quite A-peeling (pun intended).

What better way to relax and unwind than in a snug place with great food and an amazing ambience. This restaurant lets you have the luxury of choosing to dine inside or outside. Both areas have exquisite decorations with lots of spots for taking aesthetic photos, and that’s a big plus in our books. Dig into their grilled prawns with potato mash coupled with mushroom sauce and many more delicacies on their menu, and they’ll have you shovelling back to their restaurant for a more immersive culinary experience.

Best believe we’re not leaving the mainland out! The purple bistro would stand out when fine dining locations are being spoken of. Make sure to mention us to Chef Derin if you decide to bring your significant other there for even more special treatment.
