The Jameson Christmas Tree Experience continued its holiday festivities with a spectacular cultural affair on “Owambe Day,” which combined traditional attires, live music, and interactive fun. Taking place in Ikeja City Mall, the evening enveloped visitors in a remarkable celebration of Nigerian heritage and Jameson’s signature spirit of connection.
Guests arrived dressed in varying traditional attire, transforming the venue into a tapestry of colours and patterns that mirrored Nigeria’s diverse cultural history. They were greeted with complimentary Jameson cocktails upon entry, setting the tone for an evening of warmth, hospitality, and celebration.
Thorpeedoh Band, the night’s headliners, gave a spectacular live performance featuring a
saxophonist and a seamless blend of genres. Its upbeat music kept the audience on its feet, while a DJ added sets that gave the event a modern touch. They worked together to create an Owambe environment that kept people dancing and singing late into the night. King Kamsi, the charismatic host, engaged guests by urging them to share their experiences on social media. He invited guests to share how they learned about the event, establishing a sense of community among the attendees. The night’s theme was present in every interaction, reminding everyone that the greatest way to celebrate is with old and new friends.
No Owambe is complete without tasty food. A variety of gourmet junk food paired with Jameson cocktails, gave customers a complete cultural experience.
