Kannon’s Indie Label “NOVUS” Releases First Nigerian Trap/Drill Music Playlist on Apple Music

Coming into the scene professionally in 2015, independent musician and record producer Ademola Adegbite also known as Kannon has been able to set himself apart by dabbling in different forms of entrepreneurship in the music space.

Earlier this year, Kannon had his song “Face” feature on the official soundtrack of a film starring Anto Lecky called “May 29” and also oversaw production and engineering for rising Nigerian rap artist “Meji” who released his debut project “The One EP” which gained chart success by entering the top 20 Hip Hop albums on iTunes.

Now his company Novus (founded 2018) has released a Trap/Drill Music playlist for Apple Music (A first of its kind) called “Nigerian Trapaholics”, this came as there has been a sudden craving for more of that type of sound within the youth in Nigeria.

The playlist consists of Nigerian trap and rap artists such as Psycho YP, Cheque, Mojo, Olamide, Remy Baggins, Droxx & Mo’gunz, MI, Kannon, Meji, Hotyce etc. It also features Kannon’s new single “Burn” featuring VIVE.
