What To Do In Lagos;  Salsa Edition

One of the ways to socialize is through social dances. It is one of the best and easiest ways to meet with new people, interact, and connect with them while perfecting those steps.

Salsa is a social dance originating from the Latins, now practiced worldwide including in Lagos. With the Salsa dance, you get to network, have a good laugh, improve your physical health, and have fun.

Thankfully, there are quite a number of places to dance or learn to dance Salsa. Here are 5 spots to enjoy Salsa or any other form of social dancing in Lagos.

Kohinoor Lagos

It’s always an amazing time hanging out with other dancers at the Kohinoor Lounge. You get to meet new people and connect with them on an intimate level whilst showing off your dance steps. It is located in Lekki and the Salsa dance happens every Monday at 7 pm.

Turaka Lagos

The “Salsa Caliente” with Mr. Buddy Salsa comes up every Saturday at Turaka Lagos. It’s always a refreshing time of dancing, feasting, and cocktails. All you are required to do is make reservations beforehand.

Proof Hotel and Lounge

If you’re looking for a place to let off the midweek steam, you should try Salsa at Proof Hotel and Lounge. Enjoy Slasa by the tranquil poolside, it’s a ten-over-ten experience.

Spice the dance floor with some salsa moves, show your expertise, and network with other dancers like you.

Loungethirty8

They call themselves “the people-pleasing place” and they live up to it, always ready to give the best to customers even with the Salsa dance.

Every Thursday night with Paul Salsa at Loungethirty8, it’s always a fun-filled and refreshing night. The only ones that won’t leave a good review are those that didn’t show up.

This one is for our people on the mainland, you can join them from 7 pm till late.

Skybox Lagos

One of the biggest social dance parties in Lagos happens here, and it is powered by body language company. The vibe here is unstoppable and you will dance until you are tired.

Location: Lekki, Phase 1

Time: 7 pm till midnight

Entry: Free
